Recommendation

It is recommended that the Forum review the following temporary road closures in Potts Point:

·            Earl Street between Earl Street and Orwell Street; and

·            Springfield Lane between Earl Place and Earl Street.

The temporary closures will be in place in stages for 24 hours from 11 December 2025 to 24 December 2025, and from 21 January 2026 to 28 February 2026, subject to the following conditions:

(1)        The Applicant must comply with the temporary road closure conditions as mentioned in Schedule B of this agenda.

(2)        The Applicant must comply with any other conditions imposed by City’s Construction Regulation Unit.

(3)        The Applicant must contact the Kings Cross PAC to discuss deployment of user pay police for the road closures.

(4)        The Applicant must provide a telephone number of the supervisor responsible for the proposed closures and include contact details in the notification letters to be distributed to affected stakeholders.

Background

The City has applied for the temporary road closures of Earl Street and Springfield Lane in Potts Point to undertake road works associated with the installation of shared zone treatments in the street. The closures will be in place in stages as required, between 11-24 December 2025 and between 21 January to 28 February 2026.
