Decision details

It is resolved that:

(A)       Council endorse the project scope for the renewal of Belmore Park, Haymarket, as described in the subject report and shown in the Concept Plan in Attachment B to the subject report, for the progression to relevant approvals, preparation of constructions documentation, tender and construction;

(B)       Council note the established rough sleeper community living in and around Belmore Park; and

(C)       the Chief Executive Officer be requested to outline the strategies that will be undertaken to mitigate the disruption to the homeless population and provide regular reports via the CEO updates during construction.

The motion, as varied by consent, was carried unanimously.
