Recommendation

It is recommended that the Forum review the following traffic and parking changes as part of the installation of cycleways on Ultimo Road and Campbell Street in Haymarket:

Ultimo Road Cycleway

(A)      Install a bidirectional protected cycle path on the north side of Ultimo Road between Omnibus Lane and Quay Street;

(B)      Install a one-way eastbound protected cycle lane on the north side of Ultimo Road between Quay Street and Thomas Street;

(C)      Install a shared priority path crossing on Thomas Street at Ultimo Road;

(D)      Install a shared path on the north side of Ultimo Road near Thomas Street;

(E)      Install 'No Stopping' on Ultimo Road (north) from 165m to 188m east of Harris Street;

(F)      Install 'No Stopping' on Ultimo Road (south) from 223m to 243m east of Harris Street;

(G)      Install '2P Ticket 8am-6pm Mon-Fri' and '4P Ticket 6-10pm Mon-Fri, 8am-10am Sat-Sun and Public Holidays' on Ultimo Road (north) from 290m to 303m east of Harris Street;

(H)      Install 'Bicycle Parking Only' on Ultimo Road (north) from 303m to 316m east of Harris Street;

(I)        Install 'No Stopping' on Ultimo Road (north) from 316m to 319m east of Harris Street;

(J)       Install '2P Ticket 8am-6pm Mon-Fri' and '4P Ticket 6-10pm Mon-Fri 8am-10am Sat-Sun and Public Holidays' on Ultimo Road (south) from 242m to 263m and 300m to 307m east of Harris Street;

Campbell Street Cycleway

(K)      Install 'No Stopping on Campbell Street (north) from 8m to 18m west of Pitt Street;

(L)       Install one-way protected cycle lanes on the north and south side of Campbell Street between Pitt Street and Castlereagh Street;

(M)     Install 'No Stopping' on Campbell Street (north) from 17.5m to 21.2m east of Pitt Street;

(N)      Install 'Loading Zone Ticket 6am-6pm Mon-Fri, 6am-10am Sat' and '4P Ticket 6pm-10pm Mon-Fri, 10am-10pm Sat, 8am-10pm Sun & Public Holidays' on Campbell Street (north) from 21.2m to 32.1m east of Pitt Street

(O)      Install 'Bicycle Parking Only' on Campbell Street (north) from 50.7m to 61.5m east of Pitt Street;

(P)      Install 'No Stopping' on Campbell Street (south) from 46.7m to 113.7m east of Pitt Street;

(Q)      Install 'Bus Zone 6-10am and 3-8pm Mon-Fri' and '4P Mobility Parking Only Ticket All Other Times' on Hay Street (north) from 10.6m to 18.4m east of the driveway shown on plans between Pitt Street and Castlereagh Street;

Commercial TC has applied for the temporary road closure of Hunter Street, Sydney between Phillip Street and Macquarie Street (four lanes), from 10pm on Monday 18 May 2026 to 5am on Tuesday 19 May 2026, contingency dates 19-20 and 20-21 May 2026.
