Decision details

It is resolved that:

(A)      Council endorse the recommended project scope and use of spaces at Paddington Town Hall as described in the subject report for progression to required planning approvals, detailed design and documentation, and construction of works

(B)      Council endorse in principle the relocation of Eastside Radio to the lower ground floor accommodation grant program tenancy at 50-52 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross, or another potential suitable venue, subject to the terms as described in the subject report

(C)      authority be delegated to the Chief Executive Officer to negotiate and enter into any agreements with Woollahra Municipal Council and Eastside Radio Station that are required to give effect to (A) and (B) above.

(D)      the Chief Executive Officer be requested to work with Eastside Radio to understand building works required at 50-52 Darlinghurst Road, Kings Cross, or another potential suitable venue, to make sure the tenancy is compliant, safe and ready for occupation;

(E)      the Chief Executive Officer be requested to work with Woollahra Municipal Council, Waverley Council and Randwick Council staff to see if they have a more suitable space that could accommodate Eastside Radio; and

(F)      the Lord Mayor be requested to write to the Mayors of Woollahra Municipal Council, Waverley Council and Randwick Council to ask if they have a more suitable space that could accommodate Eastside Radio.
