Recommendation

It is recommended that the Forum review the following proposed traffic treatments and parking changes in Glebe:

Proposed traffic treatments:

(A)       Install raised pedestrian marked crossing on Glebe Point Road, east of Leichardt Street;

(B)       Install continuous footpath treatment (CFT) on Leichardt Street at Glebe Point Road;

(C)       Reallocation of parking on the western side of Glebe Point Road between the points 10.6 metres and 18.7 metres south of Leichhardt Street as "No Stopping;

Reallocation of parking on the eastern side of Glebe Point Road, south of Leichhardt Street:

(D)       Between the points 9 metre and 18.7 metre as "No Stopping";

(E)       Between the points 42 metre and 48.5 metre as "Bus Zone"; and

(F)       Between the points 48.5 metre and 54.5 metre as "No Parking 8.30am-6pm Mon-Fri".

Background

The Glebe Pedestrian Cycling and Traffic Calming (PCTC) Plan adopted by Council includes a proposal to install a pedestrian marked crossing in Glebe Point Road, at Leichardt Street.
